What BMR Actually Measures
Basal Metabolic Rate is the energy your body needs just to stay alive: powering your brain, heart, lungs and every other organ if you did nothing but rest in bed all day. It says nothing yet about the food you eat, the steps you take, or the workouts you do. Those come after, when BMR is multiplied by an activity factor to get your full Total Daily Energy Expenditure.
Men: 10 × weight(kg) + 6.25 × height(cm) - 5 × age + 5
Women: 10 × weight(kg) + 6.25 × height(cm) - 5 × age - 161
This is the exact formula built into the SanoobFit app's own nutrition engine. Your result here matches what a real member with your same stats would see on day one.
Age is not the real constraint behind a falling BMR. Muscle loss is. A 45 year old who has kept training and kept muscle can carry a higher resting metabolism than a sedentary 25 year old. The number on this page can change in your favor at any age, and the lever that moves it is strength training, not the calendar.
Inside SanoobFit's APEX system, the muscle behind your BMR is tracked as the Muscle Mass standard. Building and protecting it is a real requirement for advancing into Stage 2, Transformation, and it sits at the center of the Longevity program.
